The Delaware Workforce Investment Board (DWIB) is a private/public partnership committed to improving the employability of individuals to meet the current and future needs of Delaware employers.

Training

A trained workforce can dramatically improve bottom line performance to any organization. A satisfied and motivated employee means higher levels of staff retention and lower cost of turnover and recruitment. Below are training resources that will help companies and individuals with their training needs.

Blue Collar Training Grant - view instructions
The Blue Collar Training funds are available to help Delaware businesses provide customized training programs to upgrade and/or retrain their employees and provide financial assistance to full time employees. Visit the webpage to download the application, timeline and W-9 form and for more information on eligibility, types of training, restrictions, and performance outcomes.

Governor's Workforce Development Grant - Delaware High Education Commission:

The Governor's Workforce Development Grant provides yearly grants up to $2,000 to qualified individuals, who are employed part-time to participate in a part-time undergraduate study. Visit the website for qualifications, income limits, full-time employees eligibility and accepting colleges.

State Employees Job Training Program

Delaware Technical & Community College is offering tuition-free classes to State of Delaware employees, pay grades 1-10, for the Fall & Spring Semesters. These classes are funded by the Blue Collar Jobs Training Act, which is administered by the Office of Management & Budget. All Delaware Tech credit courses are covered by the Blue Collar Tuition Program. All courses can be accessed at www.dtcc.edu.
