The Tax Foundation – Delaware’s Tax Climate
Delaware ranks 8th in the Tax Foundation's State Business Tax Climate Index. The Index compares the states in five areas of taxation that impact business: corporate taxes; individual income taxes; sales taxes; unemployment insurance taxes; and taxes on property, including residential and commercial property.
2010 State New Economy Index
Delaware is ranked 6th in the calculation of the five indicator category totals (e.g., globalization, economic dynamism, etc.) and the overall New Economy scores, the indicators are weighted both according to their relative importance and so that closely correlated ones (for example, patents, R&D investment, and high-tech jobs) don’t bias the results (see Appendix).
